A high surf advisory will be in effect from 4pm on 19 November 2024 to 4pm 20 November 2024.
A high wind warning is in effect from 1pm 19 November to 4am 20 November in Tillamook County.
We have had a weird August this summer, with some cloudy, cool, wet weather. But the sun is returning for the last week of August! Expect fog in the AM and it to clear in the afternoon, at least inland.
Expect Snow in the Coastal Range and higher elevations Sunday and Monday 2/25 and 2/26. Weather should linger into Monday night and early Tuesday before warming up again.
There is a winter storm watch in effect from 4p Friday 1/12/2024 through 4a Sunday 1/14/2024
There is a possibility of some winter weather hitting the coast and coastal range next week, with snow predicted as a possibility on Friday 12th January 2024.
There is currently a high surf advisory in effect until 10pm 6 January 2024.
There is a flood watch for Saturday 12/9 and Sunday 12/10. They are expecting 1-3 inches of rain, but there is a small possibility of more, which would lead to flooding.
Nestucca Schools: Will be in session as normal on Thursday 12/7/2023. Buses will be operating on alternative routes due to flooding

We are a young online news source. We started Coastal Zephyr a few years ago to cover sports events for the high schools in Tillamook. County. We also added some feel good features as well and provided information regarding alerts sent out to the public. Then COVID hit and we had to take a break.
In the fall of 2023 we restarted the Coastal Zephyr initally emphasizing sports coverage in Tillamook County. We are hoping to add other activities and newsworthy stories in the future.
Coastal Zephyr is run by Jenny Bocko and Michael Hains.

Our mission is to provide you with news and photos regarding activities going on in the county. We are emphasizing sports coverage and safety alerts initially, with the anticipation to expand news coverage beyond that. We want to cover features and events that have a positive outlook as much as possible.
